Jack-O-Lantern Nights at Chandor Gardens

Chandor Gardens is pleased to present an all-new spooky event held in the Garden called Jack- ‘O- Lantern Nights! This event is a two-part event and the public is welcome to participate in either and highly encouraged to participate in both!

PART ONE: PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST!
We are hosting a Pumpkin Carving Contest! We invite everyone to carve and submit a pumpkin (at no cost) to Chandor Gardens no earlier than Monday, October 19th and no later than Wednesday, October 21st. Staff will be there until 6 pm on these days to take submissions. All pumpkins entered must be accompanied by an entry form to be eligible to win awesome prizes. There will be three age groups competing and therefore three prizes up for grabs! Those groups are:

Group A: 9 and under

Group B: 10 to 15

Group C: 16 to adults

Rules and guidelines: We ask that pumpkin designs be original and that no stencils be used, and that they must be carved so we can light them up for Part Two’s event. Click here for the pumpkin carving contest form!

PART TWO: SPOOKY WALK
We will be opening the Gardens for a spoOoOoOoky night walk and will have all pumpkins on display throughout the Garden to light your way through. Voting boxes will be placed near each age group for guests to vote on their favorite! We will also have an engaging scavenger hunt for children to do during the walk. Please note, this is not a haunted house and is friendly for all ages. There will be lights, fog and a delightfully spooky ambiance to get everyone into the Halloween spirit. Please be advised that there will be strobe lights and wear easy walking shoes, there are some uneven surfaces but is ADA accessible. Tickets must be purchased in advance to attend and we expect they will go fast! Jack- ‘O- Lantern nights will take place on the nights of October 23^rd, 24^th, and 25, 7pm -10pm each night.
